How I Won My Free Stash!

Ok, so we all love blog giveaways right? I know I do and I wanted to share with you how I did it! I know some of you are going to read this and go "DUH" but some of you aren't really sure how to win! Here is what I do.....

#1. If you don't have a twitter account get one! A dear twitter friend of mine suggested tweetdeck to me and that's what I suggest to you! At the top there is an option to add a column, use it and add #clothdiapers. Almost every giveaway will be tweeted there.

#2. Click on ALL of them and if they are new (no entries) I look to see how many GFC followers they have. If they have less than 200 I try to start entering it at 10-20 entries. If they have more than 200 I wait to enter until they have 50-75 entries. WHY? Because I've noticed Random.org usually will pick numbers in the 100's -200's depending on the # of entries, and I want to get as many of my initial entries in between those numbers. I also look at their existing and closed giveaways to see the average # of entries their giveaways have! Make sense? If they tend to generate 300 entries I believe Random.org will pick a number between 100 and 200, not always but usually!

#3. Look for low entry giveaways and rock them! (cheesy grin)

#4. What do I mean by rock them?? Do all the entries you can! Again if you don't tweet you need to! Tweeting can get you the most amount of entries in a giveaway! If the giveaway lasts 2 weeks and they allow tweeting 2 time a day that's 28 tweets plus the initial tweet so you end up with 29 tweets! Plus the mandatory entry give you 30 entries!  If they say post it on fb DO IT! Some giveaways allow posting on fb daily! Those extra entries will get you up to 44 entries in a 2 week period, see where I'm going with this?? Lets say they usually generate an average of 96 entries in their giveaways you now have half of those! Pretty good odds don't ya think!
SO TWEET!
If your not sure if your allowed to tweet or post daily ASK! I've tweeted at the host or asked their fb page and have been surprised when they said "AS OFTEN AS YOU WANT!" It was like striking oil! lol So as others were only doing it once I was "Rockin' It"!

#5. Break up your entries! If there is one mandatory entries and we'll say 5 extra entries DO THEM ALL but don't do the all at once, especially if they don't allow tweeting or only allow tweeting once a day!
Do the mandatory entry, follow them on twitter and tweet! That's 3. The next day, Tweet, like them on fb and like the sponsor on fb! there's another 3 together! The next day come back and tweet, follow the sponsor on twitter and if you have a blog grab their button, there's another 3 in a row! See how that works? Keep doing that until nothing is left to do, and then just continue to tweet daily!

#6. BLOG! Even if it's a personal blog you will still earn extra entries in most giveaways from blogging about it! I've seen the extra entries range from 2 extra to 20 extra entries! YOU WANT THOSE! They can really plump the number of entries you have in a giveaway.

So there it is! If I think of any other tips I will post them! Have fun and WIN, WIN, WIN!
Don't forget to follow me on twitter! I tweet about EVERY giveaway I'm in and be sure to check my blog!
                                                                            Thank for following~Becky

Three Years In The Making

Finally after 3 years it's done. Normally I would finish a blanket in a week or two but three years later here it is. I started this before Em was born but when she was born and stopped when I had her at 24 weeks, I didn't have the mindset to keep working on it and just let it sit. When she came home from the hospital my days and nights were filled with caring for her and the other kids and the rest of the time I just made up excuses. I really have to be in the mood to crochet or I have no interest in it, but when the mood strikes watch out! lol! I'm posting 2 pick because it's hard to see the letters. Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading~Becky

My Dryer Ball :)

Well with all the hoopla surrounding dryer balls I wanted some! DH bought me two that we found at our local grocery store but knowing me I needed more! lol
I was looking them up online and came across a website that showed me how to make them! Awesome, now all I needed was the wool! Ureka!! My sister Brenda gave me some alpaca fiber she had processed and spun, so online I went again to see if I could use it! YUP I CAN! So I went to the dungeon to get my bin of yarn hoping it was still in there and it was! The instructions say too start may making a small ball, ok no problem got it! In about 5 minuets I was done, then it says to wrap it in a nylon and tie the top and put it through a hot wash, cool I had a load of laundry to throw in so off I was to do the laundry :) then into a hot dry cycle it went. I pulled it out of there as soon as the load was done and it looked pretty good! The next step is to make it bigger, cool more winding. Simply lay the yarn on your existing ball and once again start winding until the ball reaches desired size. I wanted mine to be 3 1/2 inches across because then it would be the same size as my other dryer balls. This process took about 10 minuets. Ok done, off to felt! Hot wash, this time with towels, hot dry! Done!
Here it is folks, my dryer ball! Tell me you're not proud of me. I am, and I've already been on Joann's website looking for more wool to make them for family and friends! Me and my pesky addictive personality disorder! I have included a BONUS pic of Emma, she is never far from me and as soon as I pull out the camera all I hear is, cheese, cheese, cheese until I take her pic! :)

dropps Giveaway!

   CLOSED!
Random.org chose #21. Congrats MrsScorziello, I emailed you:)
Ok so here it is, my first review and giveaway. Be gentle with me I'm new here, lol!
I chose to review dropps Laundry Detergent because I really like it and use it. There
3 types of dropps, fresh scent which are phosphate and ezyme free and biodegradable, scent and dye free dropps that are phosphate and enzyme free but unscented and finally dropps baby
which are the ones I use most often. They are scent, enzyme and phosphate
and dye free! I know a lot of us use "another" brand of detergent for our diapers but if you've
never tried dropps on your diapers your missing out. I first tried dropps on my diapers when I
ran out of the "other" detergent and I didn't know what to use, I searched online and came across
dropps, they sounded like something I wanted to try but could I find them?? Yes, my local grocery
store carried them, so off I went! I paid $7.99 for them which seemed a little high as there are only
20 dropps in a bag but figured I needed to was diapers so I bough them. I came home and read the
package and realized that having a top loader and always wash at the highest water level that I would have to use 2 dropps in my diapers, 1 dropps for HE machines, ok got it, then  I opened the bag and smelled them  (you know you would have too) and they smelled like NOTHING, that's right I couldn't smell
anything. Do I did my regular wash routine. Cold rinse, overnight soak in hot water w/detergent, longest wash cycle, extra rinse! I pulled a diaper out of my washer and smelled it (again, you know you've done this too) and guess what, go ahead guess! They smelled like NOTHING!! No funk or ammonia smells! YAHOO!
My diapers were white and fresh.

Dropps are available to purchase at Target or you can go here to find a
